Exposition: I’m an insurance adjuster. There’s an area in the territory I cover for my company that has a lot of gated communities. These communities require guests to purchase a pass to enter. Most of them require commercial business to purchase a more expensive pass, either daily or yearly. A homeowner in the community can call the security office and have a pass issued for their own guests though. I go in this area fairly frequently. Mind you I’m not coming in to spend the day installing cabinetry, I may be in the neighborhood for 45 minutes to inspect the homeowners damages so I can get them money for covered repairs. Most communities either have an estimator option because they know this, or they just let me use the homeowners guest pass that’s been called in
