I (29) was telling my friends this story, and I thought I would share with reddit for once rather than mindlessly consuming stories. The story happened 8 years ago in Lebanon, a country of decaying infrastructure and morals.
Background:
Back then, i used to work on my laptop at a 24/7 coffee shop, i was a regular for three years, and i was friends with 2 other regulars for that whole duration (let’s call them Hue and Ham) . We studied at different universities, and we used to meet new people every day, enjoy debates and banter, and a general open friendly vibe (edgy at times). Our common social circles were huge, so large in fact, that Hue (22) and Ham (27) were candidates in student elections at their university in the third year.
