Long time lurker, first time poster.

Backstory:

My first “real” summer job was at a major airport doing the dishes for an airline catering company. The department was quite large with twenty or so different workstations. At the start of each shift we were assigned to a workstation for the day. My favorite was always washing the coffee thermoses and I’ll explain why. The coffee thermos washing station was one of the few were you worked alone and you weren’t depending on anyone else to do the job. I hate being inefficient (but i also pride myself on doing high quality work) so I quite quickly figured out an extremely fast workflow while still doing a better quality job than almost anyone. This made it possible for me to have nothing to do at times. Then I usually walk around the department and chatted with one of my friends while helping them out with what ever they were doing, a win win you’d think. Well, think again!
