This one is from quite a while ago. I have a chronic illness, which was particularly bad when I was in high school. At the time, I was pretty much routinely put on IV antibiotics for 2 weeks at a time every few months to treat recurrent respiratory infections. This usually consisted of several days to a week in-patient in the hospital, with the remainder of the 2-week course spent out-patient and attached to a small electronic IV pump. Understandably though, I didn’t really want to go to school like that.
