This “King Mongkut”

Costumes: Film & TV This “King Mongkut” royal-purple robe with gold bullion trim, created by Western Costume designer Irene Sharaff, was worn by Yul Brynner in The King and I (1956). Even with its imperfections, the robe sold at auction for just less than $10,000.
