IT’S #RAZORSHARP!
Urban Decay’s launching 20 shades of Razor Sharp Long-Wear Liquid Eyeliners in Singapore come September, and I managed to swatch 18 (short of a hot pink and purple), as well as play around with a few shades earlier today.
It’s a good range of shades, although I have to say most of the metallics were sheerer than I expected, and need to be layered for opacity. It’s probably because of the type of sparkly pigments used in the formula, because the mattes are mostly very opaque.
They also do last pretty well on me when set, and are like tubing mascaras. You need to rub with warm water to get them to peel and rub off. They don’t melt off like typical liquid liners, even with oil-on-water bifacil removers.
I am wearing Street (deep matte black-teal) and Deep End (bright metallic teal) in a stacked double-wing look. Apply the dark color to the outer corners first, then go in with the brighter shade in a traditional winged liner shape.
The trick is adding a tiny liner of darker color along the bottom of the brighter shade. This helps “outline” the softer color and help it stand out against the dark one. More tricks and ideas here!
Have you tried the Razor Sharp range and what do you think of them?
