At my Judo club, there is a girl called Jane. Jane has been doing judo for at least 15 years, competes internationally for her country and is very good. She also has a 2nd Dan black belt.
Jane dates Ben for 3 years until she caught wind that he was cheating with a random girl called Sarah. Jane phones Ben to confront him and he’s actually with Sarah when he answers the phone. Sarah takes the phone off him and starts trash talking Jane saying she’s going to kick her ass etc..
Jane decides neither of the two are worth her time and promptly forgets about the two of them.
6 months later, Sarah joins our Judo club as a complete newbie. She has no idea that Jane trains here, in fact she doesn’t even know what Jane looks like, or that she does Judo.
For those who don’t know, one aspect of Judo is submissions using chokes. If someone gets you in a choke you can tap to submit and you lose the match but they let go before you get put to sleep.
Sarah decides she won’t tap for anyone. Most people are polite enough to release before she gets put to sleep because it’s only training and she’s a newbie.
Then she asks to spar with Jane, not realising who she is or the grudge she inevitably bares.
Jane isn’t so nice. She gets Sarah in a choke really fast. Sarah refuses to tap so Jane just keeps applying more pressure. Just as Sarah is about to black out, you can see Jane whispering in Sarah’s ear, and Sarah’s eyes widen as she realises who it is she’s fighting against.
It must’ve been terrifying, knowing how much you pissed this girl off, and now she’s choking you to sleep whilst whispering in your ear with nothing you can do about it.
