Natasha Denona Calypso Blue Smoky Halo Eye
I have mad love for the silky duochrome blue-violet shade 05M Calypso Blue in Natasha Denona’s Purple-Blue 28 pan palette. You can also buy it in single pan form.
If you like the idea of MAC Blue Brown or Club, Urban Decay Lounge, and other similar blue-brown shades, but - like me - find them a little “bruise-like” or dirty looking on your skin sometimes because of the browny-red and green tones, a more violet hued alternative like Calypso Blue is perfect.
To recreate this look, use
- Colourpop No Shame (deep matte grey-purple) pencil smudged out sheer over the lid
- MAC Shale shadow in halo shape along socket and in inner and outer corners
- Calypso Blue concentrated in center of lid and lower lash line
Tip for halo eyes: I apply eyeshadow primer to the center of the lid after pencil and Shale, JUST BEFORE applying the metallic shadow. This way, the primer has not set 100% yet, and will give a slightly more foiled effect to your shimmer shadows when you press them on.
