Worth The Hype: Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows
When Stila launched their Magnificent Metals Eyeshadows back in 2013 they were met with mixed reviews, some people hated them, others thought they were OK whilst others swore by their beautiful foiled effect. Four years later, Stila went back to the market with their Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows, a gorgeous glitter suspended through a liquid and they were met with an incredible response. I was excited, but also apprehensive at first as I’ve always found glitter on the eyes to be trouble-sum despite its beauty… However, with these beauties my concerns were gone quicker than you could say glitter, from the moment that I applied just one swipe to my eyelids. The eyeshadow is formulated as a creamy liquid, and each shade starts off with great pigment, followed by a matching glitter which corresponds beautifully to each shade, creating a fantastic product. Unlike loose glitter, these are fallout free, and stay where you put them instead of moving all over the place, and there is no need to use an adhesive of any kind. The glitter is the perfect size and shape, large enough to make an impact but small enough that it feels comfortable on the eyelids. Once applied you have a few minutes of play-time, meaning you can either sheer out the shadow and glitter for a beautiful subtle effect or build it up and layer it for more intensity. Shortly after the shadow and glitter dry down to a stay-put, long-lasting finish that withstands creasing, smudging and fading for hours on end. All in all, I think these shadows are fantastic for anyone wanting to add some glitter and glam to their makeup, regardless of their skill level.
