I’m a high school freshman, and we had just finished our biology quiz and were trading papers to grade. I pull out my pen, but my classmate (whom I don’t really like) stops and tells me, “grade it with pencil”. I’m catching on to his desire to cheat, but say that the pen is “more aesthetic”. He continues to insist, saying he’ll pay me, and a plan forms in my head. I accept the bribe ($1), and pull out my pencil.
