A few years ago a friend of mine had a massive house fire and needed to call to have her cable shut off. When she called they turned it off and then told her that she needed to bring in the equipment or she will be charged for it. She told them she couldn’t because it was all destroyed in the fire. They argued and she hung up. The next month she gets her final bill with the charge for non returned equipment so to stick it to them and to prove it was destroyed she went back to the scene of the fire and found the destoyed equipment (melted cable box and burnt wires) packed it in a box and drove down to the cable company waited in line when it was her turn this went down.
