I work at a convenience store and it was 4th of July. I was working the overnight shift and there were just 2 of us there. At this store, there is a counter on both sides of the register allowing you to ring up 2 people simultaneously. A lot of times, however, people will see the long line and head to the counter where no one is waiting.
