I used to work for a company that had 2 different sets of working hours. The people who had been there over 4 years were on an older 36.25 hour per week contract, but were allowed to take a day of Flexi time holiday per month if in the previous month they had worked 7.25 hours extra in the previous month. All of the newer staff were on a 35 hours per week Flexi hours contract, meaning they could be flexible about their start and end times but they didn’t get an extra holiday per month. Both contracts cropped the number of hours you could carry over to the next month to 12 hours. I had been at the company for years and I was regularly over 20 hours in credit at the end of the month.
