This is long, so there’s a tl;dr at the end. It’s kind of convoluted to explain, because this revenge is of the subtle, slow burn kind.
Back in high school, I had a very small group of friends. My then best friend, who we’ll call Jenna, was one of the only people who knew a lot about me. Not that I wouldn’t tell people about myself, I just never bothered to unless asked. But Jenna and I would talk about everything and anything we could, as most best friends do. We had our ups and downs for sure, but in the end we were inseparable. That is, until “the incident” happened.
