This malicious compliance story takes place over a period of years.

My junior high/high school was part of a group of other schools in the same area that would all meet up at one of the schools for a Track and Field day, and this happened every year. The students in my school were told “You have to sign up for a minimum of ‘x’ sports” (forgot the number).
