I’m a lawyer in South Africa, and by far the worst and most mundane part of the job is dealing with the Sheriffs (we “joke” that a requirement for the job is that your parents have to be related”).
We recently got default judgment against a debtor and needed it to come to his attention via Sheriff’s service (strategic reasons, couldn’t just email).
