I Try 1930s Makeup! IGTV Featurette

I realized I’ve never paid too much attention to the #1930s as a beauty decade. I’ve done plenty of flapper looks (1920s) and bombshell looks (40s/50s) but skipped the 30’s for some reason.
This was the decade that saw the rise of Max Factor, Elizabeth Arden, Boots etc as pillars of the democratized cosmetics industry, the birth of color magazines for women, and also the defining decade when screen sirens and makeup artists of Hollywood became the first mass influencers pushing women to buy the latest #redlipstick or cake #mascara.
I’m no historian or expert. This is just a recreation of a few key features of #30smakeup as seen in old video recordings and imagery. I tried to stay as true to the textures of products used as possible. Cream contouring, powder foundation, cream rouge, glossy lids, cream lipstick, etc.
